Here at Move Dance Learn, we create dance videos for kids. We have so many to offer, but thought we would put together a list of our top ten dance tutorials for kids to make them easy for you to find and watch!

But don’t just take our word for it!

Another of our most viewed videos is a creative dance tutorial where your child is guided through a warm up and then into moving their bodies in various ways to mimic the movements of different dinosaurs.

2. SPACE ADVENTURE

Join us as we travel through space past all the planets and then land on the moon for a beyond gravity experience.

This creative movement dance lesson starts off with a warm-up, ends with a cooldown – but in between, we use creative dance and movement to go on an intergalactic adventure even meeting some life forms from another planet.

3. LET’S GO ON SAFARI

In this video, we explore through creative movement, three animals who make their homes in the Savannah of Africa – the Rhinoceros, the Giraffe, and the Gazelle.

On top of being creative, this lesson is a great workout, especially when moving like Gazelles who like to pronk or stott which means they leap into the air off of all four of their legs!

4. EASY KIDS TAP DANCE LESSON

This is a fun and easy tap dance lesson for kids and the best thing is you can choose to dance in your shoes or tap shoes if you have them.

A great introduction to the basics of tap, Move Dance Learn style with a warmup, cool down and dance game to consolidate skills learned during the lesson!

5. VIDEO GAME BALLET CLASS

My kids Love Love Love this video!!!! It took me ages to edit, not only because of all the graphics I needed to correctly time with the movements but also because they kept asking to watch parts of it as I edited it!

My 9-year-old son was upset because he didn’t get to help out in the video and has asked if we can do another video game-style dance lesson – but I think the next one will be either a hip hop or maybe even a tap lesson, we will see!

In this lesson, kids will learn all about plies, sautes, and first position as we do stop-and-go style ballet walks, bend or plie to miss flying birds, and saute or jump over wandering chickens!

Watch as we get high scores and fill the energy bar!

We start with a warm-up, move into three separate movement tutorials, and then play a memory movement game to consolidate learning from the lesson and finish with a cool down!

6. AUSTRALIAN ANIMALS

In this creative movement class, we run like an emu, jump like a kangaroo and soar like a wedge-tailed eagle.

All these animals are native to Australia and the tutorial is a great way to introduce your child to some animals they might have seen at the zoo or ones they are learning about in school!

7. LEARNING SHAPES MOVEMENT AND DANCE TUTORIAL

What exactly do superheroes and pentagons have in common? Make sure you watch the Video where we also learn about octagons and half circles to find out!

This Fitness and Creative Dance Lesson for kids, toddlers, and preschoolers teach shape awareness through movement.

As learning about shapes is part of the mathematics curriculum it is a great way to combine math learning with movement!

8. DYNAMICS IN DANCE – SWINGING, SUSPENSION & VIBRATION

This dance lesson was created to help teach the difference between the six dynamics in dance – Swinging, suspension, vibration, percussion, sustaining, and collapsing.

This particular lesson focuses only on swinging, suspended movement, and vibration.

I have another video where we explore the other three dynamics, as well as other videos where I have separated each dynamic so they can be used as a brain break or for individual learning without the warm up, game, and cool down so look out for the dynamics in dance playlist!

Students can choose to either follow the instructor or experiment with their own movement to carefully selected music that complements each dynamic.

9. SPOOKY HALLOWEEN DANCE CLASS

Come and get a little spooky with us as we prowl like a black cat, float like a ghost, and crawl like a spider.

Even the youngest of kids will enjoy this not too scary Halloween-themed dance class as they engage in creative dance, moving their bodies and using their imaginations!

10. CHRISTMAS DANCE AND MOVEMENT LESSON

This dance class is all about Christmas with a quick appearance by the big man Santa himself at the end!

We dance like reindeer, make presents in Santa’s Workshop, and open presents on Christmas morning.

We start with a warm-up, end with a cool down, and play a game as well all in about 15mins!
